Kilim Rugs

Kilims (or Kelims or gelims) are flat tapestry-woven rugs that recently became popular with Western collectors and interior designers. Middle Eastern villagers and nomads weave their own and use them as floor-coverings, drapes over tents and animals, and bags to transport household goods. Because of their authentic indigenous qualities and tendency to grow in value with age, kilims represent uniquely practical investments that also augment most existing decors and lifestyles.
